A little over a week ago, I went to the Glitterati event which took place at the Red Bar of Grosvenor House, London. It was such an amazing evening! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the bar staff offering us the most delicious cupcakes and prosecco. There was even a team from Benefit Cosmetics on hand to give mini make-overs. That really was such a treat after a long and stressful journey into London – I have never seen Victoria Station this crowded! It took us forever to get on the underground. Commuters, I really salute you – I could not do this journey every day.
Not long after we were settled at our table, the attending authors Jane Costello, Ali Harris and Paige Toon each read chapters from their most current books and afterwards Hannah Beckerman did a Q+A with all three authors. I found the whole evening so inspirational and enjoyable! Huge thanks to the organisers of this event (Simon Schuster’s Books and the City and The Red Bar) for making us feel so welcome and giving us such a perfect and relaxing evening. I hope there will be many more Glitterati events to follow!
Thanks SJ for taking this brilliant picture: Jane Costello, me, Ali Harris, Paige Toon
