My Captured Moment #12 – Gorgeous Butterfly

butterfly

A couple of weeks ago, we bought a new camera and have been playing about with its settings ever since. There is so much to discover and to try out – blurring out the background, changing colours etc. However, on the day the picture was taken, we forgot to take our camera. My husband only had his mobile to hand when we discovered the butterfly. Without any hesitation and too much thinking, he snapped away on his phone camera. Little did we know that the photo would turn out like this – vibrant colours, perfect focus on the butterfly with a blurred background. There we were – having spent hours familiarising ourselves with our new camera to take pictures just like this and my husband achieves it by simply clicking away on this camera phone. It really made us giggle when we saw the result. Maybe there was no need to invest in a new camera at after all…

I am linking this post with the lovely Heledd from Running in Lavender for #MyCapturedMoment.

Stunning photo! I’m always amazed by the quality of photos on my mobile, easier to carry around too 🙂

Isn’t it always the way. Our phones, mine anyway, seems to be surgically attached to me so I always get the better photos with it as they are the most impromptu! #mycapturedmoment

I agree. It really is much quicker to to snap away on the mobile instead of unpack in a camera.

Ironic isn’t it Heidi. Such a gorgeous photo as you say vibrant and well, just perfect.

Pete has a new camera and still learning. Some of his photos are ahem, dire but some outstanding. I’m going to stick with our old camera and my mobile 🙂

I am still determined to figure out all of our camera settings. Although I have to say that I took about 20 pictures the other day and all of them were pretty bad…

This is stunning, I can’t believe you got such a great shot from a camera phone! I would have thought this is from a DSLR. My phone’s camera is nowhere near that good. Look at all the colours, it’s so beautiful. Thank you so much for linking up to #MyCapturedMoment.
